1 T butter
1 T olive oil
1 T onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 c long-grain rice or basmati rice
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups chicken stock
melt butter in oil. add onion powder, garlic powder, turmeric, cook briefly till foaming. add rice and salt, stir to coat the rice. add stock, bring to boil. cover, reduce to low, simmer 15-20 minutes.
